A DAY ON LONG ISLAND

Eunice and I spent a wonderful day on Long Island, New Yolk.  It's a pretty big place consisting of two counties; Nassau and Suffolk.  We were in the Southern part of Nassau .  Having visited the Phileggdelphia Pretzel Factory in Regging, we found one in Bellmore.

Joe, the owner, gave each of us a bite sized pretzel. He apparently works out and wanted to show off on his ability to life weights.  Hey, we're no spring chickens!

On to Rockville Centre to visit Center for Science Teaching and Learning. It's a science and nature center. Although the preserve has nature trails and other stuff, we were only interested in seeing the animals.  They had a replica of some dinosaur and we were told that it was our ancestor....right!

We decided to have  conversations with the animals to find out if they heard the same thing. Our first one was with an owl.

We then asked a pigeon who thought we were odd.  I don't know why.

Birds of a feather, flock together.  That's what we say.  How about the pheasant?

Eunice had to convince me to talk to a hawk.

Eunice thought it was hysterical when I talked with a goat because it wasn't a feather animal.  She laughed so hard that one of the humans had to hold her.

We had a few other conversations with them and they were quite friendly.

Time to go to lunch.  We found this nice place called Press195.  Chris, one of the owners, was real nice.

Our last stop was to a place called Chocolate Works.  We were hoping to play a trick on a human and suddenly cluck at them when they were looking at one of the shelves.

Just the thought gave us a tickle.  We had a great day!!!
