Eunice and I decided to take a trip to what was originally Annapolis, Maryland to rename the city, Hennapolis. We had already changed Maryland to Marilynd really due to Marilyn's wanting to steal the entire State. We let Marilyn and Minerva stay home while we brought the kids, Ethel Louis and Mildred.
One of the things we heard about were these Chick ceramic art pieces placed all over the West Street area in downtown Hennapolis. We were hoping to get a photo with each. Here are the ones we were able to find.
Our first stop was at this great coffee place called Baltimore Coffee. We had coffee and pastry, passing up on the chicken salad. Becky (left) and Kim (right) were very helpful.
Eunice and I checked into the Westin Hotel. We met Jim Piccoli, the General Manager.
Although there was a restaurant just across the street, we were a bit full from breakfast. However, we saw this planter that looked as if it had edible flowers and indulged, hoping that nobody would spot us.
Since there was art all over town, we thought we might do some of our own art as we went to a place called Wine and Design and see if we could learn to paint.
Here is Denise, who taught us how to paint.
On the following day, we went to a place called Spice and Tea where we met Basil. I guess if you are only eating spice and drinking tea, you can be a bit underweight. Eunice, the kids and I discussed our trip and asked for some pointers. We also met Melanie and Erica who delightfully ran the store.
That evening, we had a dinner at the hotel.
It was our last day as we started with breakfast. Ethel Louise and Mildred insisted on having eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. We try not to tell them too much. I guess that it's no different from human babies having mother's milk. In fact since there was plenty, we all shared it.
We decided to take a harbor tour over at the Dock Street area. Hitched a ride in someone bag. We talked with some ducks. and then boarded the Watermark Cruise.
Lunch before heading back. We found Mike's Crab House where we happened to meet up with our friends Laurie and Merle. Had no idea that they were taking the same trip....okay, we read the itinerary (not going to tell you how, though). Being a bit thirsty after seeing all that water, we chose to have a Blue Moon beer. We didn't get photo of what we ate, but you can probably see the food photos on either of their blogs. We did, however, take a photo with the person who served us.
Since we are not "pets", we ignored this sign. Here is a photo of the restaurant at it faces the water.
Back to New Yolk. Had a great time!!!
Esther resided at the Rubber Chicken Forest at the Twisted Oak Winery in California. She was taken home and enjoyed herself until she saw her twin sister's photo on an egg carton. Eunice was sent to New York to be with Esther. At first they did not get along as Esther was used to traveling alone. Now they travel together. The family expands adopting Ethel Louise at Chix R' Us and taking in Marilyn, a kleptomaniac, and Minerva, who have recently adopted baby Mildred.

OXFORD IN TALON COUNTY
The town of Oxford was our next destination. We were supposed to get there by way of a ferry boat. I guess it wasn't running so we had to take a different route.
There was this fabulous Oxford Museum with lots of history.
Marilyn wanted to cop the light.
Off to Sunday Brunch at Latitude 38 Bistro and Spirits.
I think Minerva fainted when she saw the eggs thinking that it might have been a relative.
After brunch we headed for a bookstore called Mystery Loves Company Bookstore.
Robert Morris Inn had an afternoon tea that we couldn't resist.
We spent the night at Old Brick Inn in St. Michaels.
It was such a gorgeous day that we got up with the roosters and hung out on the porch for awhile.

TALON COUNTY IN MARILYND
Eunice and I decided to invite Marilyn and Minerva on a road trip to Talbot County in Maryland. Naturally we had to rediscover and so we named in Talon County in Marilynd. We borrowed a car and as Eunice and I steered, not being able to see the windshield, Minerva looked out the window for us while Marilyn checked the GPS. The problem is that Marilyn is a kleptomaniac and trying to steal the GPS. Thank goodness Minerva is around to watch her. First destination was the town of Easton.
We stopped into the office of tourism and met Cassandra who showed us maps and pointed out places for us to experience as well as giving us directions to the places that we would be staying overnight.
On the way to the inn, we stopped so that I could view an historic marker.
We then checked into The Tidewater Inn on Dover Street, just across the way from the Avalon Theatre.
All four of us shared a room on this trip and got along just fine. The bed at this inn was really high and required a stepping stool to get into. I think Marilyn tried to steal the stool afterward.
The next morning we went to Sherwood's Landing to have breakfast at the Inn at Perry Cabin in the town of St. Michaels. It was one of many relaxing places. Marilyn and Minerva were off someplace. I'm guessing that Marilyn was doing her klepto thing and Minerva was scolding her.
We hung out in St. Michaels going off to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. There was so much to see and this place was really big. We went into this room where people were helping to build a ship. Marilyn was trying to steal the ship and the builders decided to make her the figure head.
We then toured the lighthouse with Marilyn trying to hang from the rafters for a different view. I think she upset the person touring us. One of the buildings had a display of duck decoys and another had an exhibit on fowl guns. Marilyn almost got her head shot off trying to do her thing.
A wine tasting at St. Michaels Winery was next on the itinerary. Marilyn made an attempt at a bottle of wine. Minerva caught her. Eunice and I didn't notice as we were too buy discussing the nose, acidity and flavors.
