Marilyn and Minerva went to a restaurant called Manor Oktoberfest. They immediately changed the name to Eggtoberfest to reflect our heritage. The restaurant is located at a shopping center, called Atlas Park, in a part of Queens, NY. Bavarian style food and lots of beer...oh, oh. I'll let them tell you.
We sneaked in there by way of Merle's big bag. Most of the time she didn't see us. Although we perused the menu we managed to taste whatever Merle ordered. We did check out the menu.
They have these really tasty soft pretzels. Marilyn was talking about stealing the knife.
Next were the potato pancakes.
Perogies followed. They are like fried dumplings with potatoes and cheese. Some of them also had jalepeno. Marilyn thought it would be a great reason to have a beer...later.
Merle ordered something called Sauerbraten. We waited for her to leave the table to take pictures.
Along came this plate that had a sausage, smoked pork cutlet, potato salad and cucumber salad. Marilyn was contemplating stealing this knife. I had to talk her out of it. She's such a cut up.
This huge glass of beer came to the table. Before I knew it Marilyn stuck her whole body into it and almost drowned if it weren't that she drank enough. No matter how I dress her, I can't take her anyplace.
We got our picture taken with some of the staff.
Esther resided at the Rubber Chicken Forest at the Twisted Oak Winery in California. She was taken home and enjoyed herself until she saw her twin sister's photo on an egg carton. Eunice was sent to New York to be with Esther. At first they did not get along as Esther was used to traveling alone. Now they travel together. The family expands adopting Ethel Louise at Chix R' Us and taking in Marilyn, a kleptomaniac, and Minerva, who have recently adopted baby Mildred.
