Eunice and I went to Manhattan to join some news friends. They are friends of our friend, Merle. Do we have to "friend" that? We met them at an Italian restaurant in the West Village and ate something called "Osso Bucco". The photo is of us with Andra Douglas. We especially wanted a photo with her because she all but carries around her parrot, Dina.
After dinner we saw a play called Newsical The Musical. Very funny show. No photo taking allowed, though. Had such a great time!
Esther resided at the Rubber Chicken Forest at the Twisted Oak Winery in California. She was taken home and enjoyed herself until she saw her twin sister's photo on an egg carton. Eunice was sent to New York to be with Esther. At first they did not get along as Esther was used to traveling alone. Now they travel together. The family expands adopting Ethel Louise at Chix R' Us and taking in Marilyn, a kleptomaniac, and Minerva, who have recently adopted baby Mildred.

TILGHMAN ISLAND IN TALON COUNTY
Last town, that certainly deserved a visit, was Tilghman Island. Not one for attractions but water stuff. So far we've seen lots of creeks and a look out to the bay.
We drove around and then stopped into the local grocery store. In fact it was the only grocery store on the island. I think Marilyn was trying to steal the cash register.
We had lunch at Harrison's Chesapeake House and took a photo with Buddy Harrison, Jr.
Overnight was at the Tilghman Island Inn.
Although Tilghman Island was the last town to visit, we went back to Easton to finish up on some things. Most important was the Pickering Creek Audubon Center. On the way we noticed a street sign that was certainly meant for us.
We couldn't fly home but the drive was great and so was this road trip.

OXFORD IN TALON COUNTY
The town of Oxford was our next destination. We were supposed to get there by way of a ferry boat. I guess it wasn't running so we had to take a different route.
There was this fabulous Oxford Museum with lots of history.
Marilyn wanted to cop the light.
Off to Sunday Brunch at Latitude 38 Bistro and Spirits.
I think Minerva fainted when she saw the eggs thinking that it might have been a relative.
After brunch we headed for a bookstore called Mystery Loves Company Bookstore.
Robert Morris Inn had an afternoon tea that we couldn't resist.
We spent the night at Old Brick Inn in St. Michaels.
It was such a gorgeous day that we got up with the roosters and hung out on the porch for awhile.

TALON COUNTY IN MARILYND
Eunice and I decided to invite Marilyn and Minerva on a road trip to Talbot County in Maryland. Naturally we had to rediscover and so we named in Talon County in Marilynd. We borrowed a car and as Eunice and I steered, not being able to see the windshield, Minerva looked out the window for us while Marilyn checked the GPS. The problem is that Marilyn is a kleptomaniac and trying to steal the GPS. Thank goodness Minerva is around to watch her. First destination was the town of Easton.
We stopped into the office of tourism and met Cassandra who showed us maps and pointed out places for us to experience as well as giving us directions to the places that we would be staying overnight.
On the way to the inn, we stopped so that I could view an historic marker.
We then checked into The Tidewater Inn on Dover Street, just across the way from the Avalon Theatre.
All four of us shared a room on this trip and got along just fine. The bed at this inn was really high and required a stepping stool to get into. I think Marilyn tried to steal the stool afterward.
The next morning we went to Sherwood's Landing to have breakfast at the Inn at Perry Cabin in the town of St. Michaels. It was one of many relaxing places. Marilyn and Minerva were off someplace. I'm guessing that Marilyn was doing her klepto thing and Minerva was scolding her.
We hung out in St. Michaels going off to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. There was so much to see and this place was really big. We went into this room where people were helping to build a ship. Marilyn was trying to steal the ship and the builders decided to make her the figure head.
We then toured the lighthouse with Marilyn trying to hang from the rafters for a different view. I think she upset the person touring us. One of the buildings had a display of duck decoys and another had an exhibit on fowl guns. Marilyn almost got her head shot off trying to do her thing.
A wine tasting at St. Michaels Winery was next on the itinerary. Marilyn made an attempt at a bottle of wine. Minerva caught her. Eunice and I didn't notice as we were too buy discussing the nose, acidity and flavors.
